Far From Any Hope of Harbour

    The past several years have been particularly turbulent for members of the LGBTQ+ community, especially transgender and gender-nonconforming people. In the midst of increasingly vicious political rhetoric and rising violence targeting queer people and our spaces of safety, I have been navigating the deep waters of my own identity and experiencing what it feels like to begin to belong inside my own body and feel truly seen by others for the first time since I was a child. Whatever the outcome, it’s clear we have a long and difficult journey ahead of us still.
